Korean cuisine is probably one of the most evolved cuisines in the world, from traditional to modern, from the upscale class to the diverse street food scene. Andrea Amado has immersed herself in learning the complex gastronomy of Korea and its influence in its cuisine for over 2 decades. A graduate of De La Salle University College of Saint Benilde with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management in 1999, she has since worked in several notable restaurants, pioneering and leading opening teams in streamlining restaurant operations. A well-traveled gastronome, Andrea has spent half of her life traveling across Asia, the United States and Europe, attending and successfully completing countless of culinary training programs, intensively learning gastronomy and oenology, thus further enriching her culinary passion. During the period of 2011-2015, she was the President of Tous Le Jours Philippines, a South Korean “Asian-French” bakery, opening the second country franchise outside of Korea, after Vietnam. Shortly after this, she then founded Boulangerie22, an artisan bakery serving a unique selection of freshly baked breads, cakes and pastries and served as its President from 2016 until present, notably establishing a network of 26 branches across the Philippines over a span of 4 years. Her passion and love for Korean food became even more evident when she became a restaurateur and opened Yoree Korean Barbecue Restaurant in 2017. This passionate epicure is one who puts quality above all else as she firmly believes that in cooking, what starts with quality ingredients, ends with excellence on a plate. Andrea specializes in both traditional Korean and Korean fusion dishes.
